Southwest Conservation Advocate
WildEarth Guardians is seeking a full-time advocate in our Wild Places Program to advance a new paradigm of forest management and protection based on the growing body of science that demonstrates trees work cooperatively through symbiotic relationships between fungi and plants, which create shared mycorrhizal networks. In this position, the SW Advocate will be responsible for helping develop and advance new policies and protections for national forests in the southwestern US by promoting the concepts of “forest wisdom” throughout the region and increasing support for our forest protection work among a broad array of communities and interests. Pacific Northwest Conservation Advocate
WildEarth Guardians is seeking a full-time advocate in our Wild Places Program to lead Guardians’ regional efforts to protect and restore lands, waters, and wildlife and fish habitat on national forests in Oregon, Washington, and northern California from the impacts of forest roads and decades of exploitation and mismanagement. Climate and Energy Advocate
WildEarth Guardians is hiring a full-time Climate and Energy Advocate to advocate for safeguards of our climate through engagement with administrative agencies, the media, the public, and the courts, primarily focused in New Mexico, where there is need and opportunity to advance a just and equitable transition from fossil fuels. The Climate and Energy Advocate will develop strategies and tactics to expose the true cost of oil and gas extraction and leverage environmental and health liabilities to support and sustain action to end fracking and keep fossil fuels in the ground.
